Sacramental Life
The Catechism of the Catholic Church describes the sacraments as “actions of the Holy Spirit at work in his Body, the Church” (CCC 1116). These signs of grace, instituted by Christ, are essential to the life of All Saints Catholic School, in building up the body of Christ within our community.
Every Friday morning before the school day begins, Holy Mass is celebrated in the St John Henry Newman Chapel. Students are encouraged to altar serve, read and sing at Mass, and feast days that fall on a Friday are always marked with a breakfast treat afterwards. Holy Days of Obligation are observed in school, with Mass for every student.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available weekly to students after Friday morning Mass. We organise termly reconciliation days (Advent, Lent and before the summer holidays), where students can take the opportunity to have their confession heard by our local clergy.
