Form Time
The form tutor is one of the most significant roles of school pastoral care structure. The form tutor is the first point of contact for children and parents. They are central in caring for students and crucial in monitoring progress both socially and academically. The form tutor will encourage student’s involvement in the schools wide cocurricular programme and ensure that the family ethos of the school reaches every child. They are instrumental in reinforcing high standards for work and behaviour and are central in recognising and celebrating students’ achievements.
During form time there is a programme of actives that rotate throughout the week. Each day students engage in one of the following:
- Year group assembly
- News and debate
- STEAM challenge
- Numeracy Challenge
- Literacy write now activity
