Sixth Form Life
Our sixth form is where we believe adult life begins. Students will develop spiritually, personally and academically to help them take the next steps to higher education and beyond.
Whatever study path you wish to follow, our inclusive curriculum ensures the right choice is available for you.
The Sixth Form curriculum is broad, balanced and tailored to each student:
A Levels: Students can choose three or four A Level subjects dependent on prior attainment from a range of over 30 different subjects.
Vocational Level 1-3 Courses: We offer a range across nine different subject areas, including a number of full time programmes.
Level 3 Core Maths: Students who do not wish to take A Level Maths have the opportunity to take this subject alongside their main 3 subject choices.
Extended Project Qualification (EPQ): Students can choose to undertake the EPQ as an additional qualification. This allows students to show a depth of study in one particular area which will help enhance their UCAS and job applications.
Finance: The Certificate in Financial Studies develops the knowledge and skills required for you to make informed financial decisions by introducing you to the risks and challenges involved in personal finance and the tools for effective planning
Enrichment Programme: All students have the opportunity to participate in our comprehensive Enrichment programme which promotes learning and self-improvement. Students also undertake a period of Career Enhancement at the end of Year 12. This includes work experience, research projects and other related activities. The tutorial system supports the UCAS and careers programme to ensure students have clear progression strategies in place when they leave.
GCSE Maths and English: All students who have not reached a grade 4 prior to joining us will be given the opportunity to resit these qualifications.
